Holiday Hiatus

In fact, not to avoid insulting people, but merely for the alliteration. I celebrate Christmas, so it's a Christmas and New Year's Hiatus if you want to get really technical (along with finals).

And so:

Painting and Whitewashing: I respect someone who can charge through everything without ever compromising any principle. But that's not exactly the ideal.

Sick and Tired: You know that scene with Wesley in The Princess Bride when he challenges Count Reugen when he can barely stand? Like that, but not as cool.

Travel Log: Grand Canyon: I was there. It was stunning.

Letter, Spirit, Reason: A law is written, and there is intent behind the words. But most important is the reason behind them.

Wisdom Teeth: Got my lower wisdom teeth pulled, got a sinus lift (cut a hole in the sinus, basically), got a bone graft (which is why I needed the sinus lift).

Theft, Inspiration and Muses all tend to blend together.

I jump through the hoops...but they're no reason not to soar.

Breaks: What are you telling? What story, whose story?

Song Analysis: Doesn't matter if you've got the world at your back, there are still some things you can't run from. Like fear, or wisdom.

Nazi Propaganda: Bad people can be charismatic. Assuming otherwise is history repeating itself.

Memory: Maybe you won't be remembered. But you still were.

"Gay Marriage": Words are powerful, even when we don't notice them. Especially when we don't notice them

Being Broken: There are a million ways to be broken without anyone trying.

New Year's Resolutions for 2010: I will focus.

Revenge and Interesting Torture: Revenge serves a purpose, just like any other instinct. It can hurt, but it doesn't have to.

Homework is not intrinsically useful any more than a hammer is. Hit a nail, not a screw.
